Satyam Cinemas hosted the trailer and website launch of Studio Green Gnanavel Raja’s Karthi starrer Siruthai. Both Suriya and Karthi were present and the elder brother wishing success for his younger brother.
Gautham Menon launched the trailer before Suriya and director Lingusamy, who made the hit ‘Paiyaa’, launched the website. For the entertainment of the audience, two songs, one in which Karthi appears in nine get ups and a melody song, and the trailer was shown.
Tamannah was also present on the occasion. When Suriya spoke, he congratulated Karthi for his hard work. Karthi said he worked hard not to look like his brother (Suriya) as he has played two cop roles before.
Dignitaries hoped that the movie would turn a big hit providing very good entertainment. As could be remembered, Karthi plays a dual role where he is a Policeman in one and a thief in another.
The other guests for the event included Vidyasagar (music director of the film), Rajeevan, Producer Gnanavel Raja, Cinematographer Vel Raj, Vijay, Sivakumar, Prabhu Solomon et al.
Known to all that Karthik’s recent movie Naan Mahan Alle has been a box office hit and at present he is busy with his upcoming movie Siruthai. Well the latest news about the movie is that it is expected to hit theatres for Pongal 2011. Vidyasagar has composed the music. The music has been bagged by Venus and the music launch is going to be held in Chennai on December 19.
Siruthai is directed by Tollywood filmmaker Shiva. While its produced by K.E. Gnanavelraja of Studio Green. As reported earlier Siruthai is a remake of Telugu hit Vikramakudu starring Ravi Teja and Anushka.

Interesting feature of the movie is that Karthi is playing a dual role both negative and positive roles. Tamannaah is pairing with him again after Piyya. Karthi is excited about his punch dialogues in the movie as he spewing for the first time in his career.
